On Stage!

This last weekend was On Stage!, an event that Stampin Up run bi-annually.  Worldwide Demonstrators get together and in one of the SU markets there is a large 3 day event, while the other markets then have a one day and one evening event simultaneously. The large event moves markets each time and is due back in Europe in a years time and will be taking place in Germany. Last weekend’s main event took place in Orlando Florida. Our local UK event happened in The Vox Centre in Birmingham, and was an absolutely fabulous event.

There were around 600 Demos there and a wonderful atmosphere.  The event made me Laugh, Cry and even Dance. It truly feels like being with Family getting together, swapping projects, stamping together, watching inspirational presentations, hearing moving stories of how much Stampin Up has touched lives. I left with armfuls of fab new product, beautiful swaps, happy memories and a very warm feeling in my heart!

Here are the different swaps I created, I say swaps, as I get bored quite easily I generally make a few choices for those I swap with.

Christmas Card Fronts

These feature the Snowflake Showcase Suite and the sentiment is from the Peaceful Noel stamp set. Colours are Bermuda Bay and Gray Granite.  I’ve added some Gold using the Washi from Suite Season, Shimmer Paint, the Glimmer Paper and the Faceted Gems. Looked very shimmery and was met with lots of oohs and aaahs.

Gift Card Holder

This alternate swap is created  from a Stampin Up Whisper White envelope and was inspired by my wonderful up-line Kerry Timms.  She taught this at a Team training event a couple of years ago.  I just changed it up a bit and made a Christmas version. It features the stunning Christmas papers available in the Annual Catalogue called Under The Mistletoe. Real Red Card and Vellum die cut with Stitched Label Framelits sprayed with Vegas Gold shimmer paint. Stamps used are Merry Christmas from the host set ‘Warm Hearted’ and the New Year sentiment from Timeless Tidings – both of these stamp sets are from the Autumn/Winter catalogue. Look out for my video tutorial for how I made my swaps and to see what I got in return.
