I had my second Monday FaceBook Live this week and decided to show some simple box making. I’m a great fan of 3D projects, I love to make treat packaging, boxes and bags from card and paper.
Of course making cards is great too, but there is something really great about finding something simple and popping it into some fab looking package to match the card you have made.
I made two different styles of box, one being the simple pizza style box this box has minimal measuring and I showed how you could just choose any piece of cardstock to make a box – choose your box depth and score this depth on all four sides, the video shows how to create the centre of the box with n o measuring required.
I stamped on the Sahara Sand cardstock with Sahara Sand ink using the Forever Fern stamp set. Decorated the top with Just Jade (new In-Colour) ribbon and ink. This box was created to hold a posh bar of Peony Soap.
This box is a lidded box. The base is cut from Cardstock and the top made from DSP they are almost the same size the card base is a smidge smaller and then again the score lines determine the depth of the box so scoring on all four sides at the depth required. There are a few tricks to making a box that fits great and so if you want to take a look at the video then please click the photo above .
