WOW! Is it just me that finds time flying faster than ever? Though I’ve heard many people say that January has felt like the longest month for them, it’s actually sped by for me!
Life can be extremely variable for me in my caring/support role(s) (they are often multiple). No two days turn out the same and plans can sometimes change quickly. As such I don’t often have things on the calendar just for me, but January saw me prioritise my own personal growth at an in-person away day in Liverpool. It’s a long way from my part of the world in the West Country so I travelled by train the day before and stayed at the venue and it was fantastic! I decided a while ago to invest in myself and joined a Mastermind Mentoring Programme, with the fabulous Anna Green, a no-nonsense Yorkshire lass that I’m finding really gets me!
The positives of personal growth are many and one that I am passionate about, it’s a great opportunity through collaboration with others to learn, after all, there’s so much to share we all have different strengths and challenges – I dislike the word weaknesses, we are not weak!
You will often see and hear me talking about the girls I share my Stampin’ Up! journey with too and the way that we also support and encourage each other in a world that’s divisive in so many ways. Building each other up and being cheer leaders for one another really helps to feel connected and when I need to plug into some support in all areas of life, then these ladies are my go to’s. Some of these people are in my immediate circle, but I’m fortunate enough to also have a wider circle of great ladies too that are a massive resource base for so many things. I think the magic here is to give as much as you get and remembering that the give and get formula doesn’t need to balance out weekly or monthly, but, over time it definitely does!
If you love to Craft with amazing coordinating, top quality products then joining Stampin’ Up! might be just the Community that you need too! I always wonder why people buy the products without a discount when they could get at least 20% off just by becoming part of this fabulous culture of sharing. I have a relatively small group of ladies that share this journey with me directly, I love that we are an intimate group that have become friends through our shared love of creativity. The fact that we are a smaller group enables me to nurture and support them more. We have in-person and on-line get togethers often and I’m available to answer questions, support & encourage as much or as little as needed. The opportunity to be an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, gives us many options: to just support our own craft hobby at a discount, share the products with family and friends gaining commission to help pay for your own purchases, or you can create your own creative business, maybe holding events or selling our products to people far & near, like me. This is a create your own adventure opportunity, and that’s why it’s able to fit around life’s challenges. I’m the evidence of that.
One thing is for sure, you will have all the resources that you need to grow your creativity and just maybe you might experience a different kind of growth too! I cannot imagine my life without Stampin’ Up!, it’s become my Creative Escape when times have been tough! It’s helped with my confidence and given me a purpose outside of what’s expected of me. The 13 years that I have been a Demonstrator have been so rewarding and have helped me so much on so many levels. I’d love to offer you the chance to travel your own Creative Journey too!
Please get in touch if my story has resonated and you would like to ask questions or take the next steps, I’m here to help and support you.
Love Bel x
