Under My Umbrella -Autumn Card

October 24, 2020
Challenges/Blog Hops

24 Oct

When we need a jumping off point I might have mentioned before using a card sketch for inspiration. Nothing on a card sketch has to be set in stone and personally that’s what I find helps me when I just need a starting point.

If you are using a sketch for the purpose of a challenge blog you may have to adhere a little more to the principles of the layout of the sketch. You will need to read the requirements of that individual challenge.

This particular sketch was set by a member of my Stampin’ Up! upline’s group the ‘Inspiring Inkin Team’. It’s a great supportive place to hang out, share ideas and inspire and be inspired. It’s one of the great things about being part of such a great family of stampers.

Here is the original Sketch

I decided to make some shape changes after finding a piece of Crumb Cake card that I had previously die cut with the smaller of the Stitched Nested Labels. This piece lent itself nicely to the sketch. I also felt I would like to create something Autumnal.

The Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder has been used with the Just Jade layer and Bumble Bee strip across the centre. The patterened paper is from the Flowers For Every Season and features the colour Cinamon Cider.

This patterened paper pack contains all of the new In-Colours for 2020-2022. It’s so refresshing to have 5 brand new colours each year, but it’s a double edged sword as we also had to say goodbye to 5 colours to make way for them. These new arrivals this year were so vibrant, and I’m really pleased to be able to make full use of them until 2022. Just Jade, Bumble Bee and Cinamon Cider make a lovely Autumn colour combo.

The colours of the leaves are quickly changing and the Autumn winds are making them fall pretty fast here in my part of the world. The clocks will be changing later tonight and then the evenings really will be much darker and I will be cosying up here staying warm and crafting whenever I get a chance.

Is Autumn a season that you enjoy? Do you like the changing seasons?

Bel x
