Journal Your Christmas?

I know it’s the C word already, but, it is September and it pays to be organised right?

Journal Your Christmas is a wonderful concept that was the idea of Shimelle Laine, many years ago. I have tried my best to join to some degree most years since I first signed up in 2012, but I have to confess I have never actually managed to complete a journal for the whole of the Christmas period in any of the years I have planned to fully participate in and this makes me feel a bit sad. The Class consists of prompts each day through December in your inbox for photos and a story to help capture your own Christmas Traditions and individual family memories associated with this wonderful time of year. It even encourages starting new traditions popping in some of your wrapping paper, taking photos of signs of Christmas in your everyday. If you decide to do this over a period of years you can compare how your Christmas changes through the years.  Once you join Shimelle’s Class once you are invited to participate for free for each year after.  It really makes me get in the seasonal mood each year and take more notice of the little details that make our hearts happier at this time of year, which is no bad thing, even for someone that never quite gets it all done……..

Since becoming a Stampin Up Demonstrator and having the co-ordinating product I should have been able to achieve this, but, though we have great products that co-ordinate beautifully, I have still struggled with getting behind and having to stamp or die cut the Numbers for each day, and once that happens I tell myself I will catch  up in January and sadly I never do.

SO I WAS ECSTATIC WHEN – I ordered the SANTA’S WORKSHOP MEMORIES AND MORE card pack.  I had in my head planned to use this pack to run a Parent and Child Card Class (which I am still planning btw!). On opening the pack I found these stickers and the lightbulb moment happened – Journal Your Christmas covered!!

Here are some of the other cards in this beautiful pack.  It contains double sided cards 14@ 6 x 4 inches, 36@ 4 x 3 inches and 6 @ 6 x4 inches single sided glittered cards with 4 sheets of card stock stickers again 6 x 4 inches. The Stampin Up colours are Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Garden Green and Poppy Parade.

You can add any extra accessory or inks from these colours for a perfect match.

Although you can probably tell that I’m a big fan of Shimelle’s version, this concept can still work for you without the need to join Journal Your Christmas as I’ll happily add a list of daily prompts with your purchase of this great Memories and More Kit with additional  6 x 8  or 12 x 12 inch Album and Pocket Pages if you want to go it alone. however, I will be running this as a class in October and possibly also in November, depending on demand.  This year we might all be able to complete this lovely Family Memory Project on time.

The Memories and More kit with 6X8 Album with a pack and a half of pocket pages to complete the full month of December (with a few spares for busy days). Cost will be £27 date TBC

The Memories and More kit with the larger format 12X12 Album with a pack and a half of pocket pages to complete the full month of December (with a few spares for busy days). Cost will be £48 date TBC

This Memories and More Pack is one of my absolute favourite products from the new Catalogue.
