Joyous Noel Speciality DSP

October 24, 2018
Beginner Stampers· Christmas Projects

24 Oct

DSP is short for Designer Series Paper and the title speciality paper indicates that at least one side of the paper has some form of additional texture to it to add that something extra, in the case of Joyous Noel then this extra is foiling and it is stunning.

I wanted to showcase as many of the lovely prints in the pack as possible so I created this card using 3cm square pieces of the DSP, I think it shows what a great paper pack this is.

This type of design is a great way to make lots of cards from very small amounts of patterned paper.  I would recommend using a coordinating pack of paper as this can take all the effort out of matching.  Again Stampin Up coordination makes this design so simple to put together.  I’ve used the Joyous Noel glimmer paper from the same suite, it’s on page 29 of the Autumn and Winter catalogue. Three colours in the pack 8 of each in Copper, Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide. I punched out an Everyday Label punched shape in the Copper cut it in half and mounted one half each side of my Stitched Label Circle. Lastly a sprig from the Sprig Punch also from the suite, added to make a pretty accent. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Noel stamp set again from the suite on page 29.

Here’s both the foiled sides and the equally beautiful non foiled designs.

Merry Merlot is one of the new colours this year and it’s used to great effect in these lovely papers, this is definitely one my favourite Christmas papers by Stampin Up in recent years.
