Beginner Stampers

The Needlepoint Nook Suite

When I first opened the 2019 Spring/Summer Catalogue I was taken by the contents of this suite. The DSP is bright and colourful and is created from photographs of actual needlepoint, and the stamp set is a new style that is unique to Stampin’ Up! called Dist-ink-tive. The photopolymer images are created in such a way as to produce a multi tonal image from a single colour of ink. My tip with these stamps is to avoid very juicy ink pads, if the ink pools on the stamp then the texture can be lost. If your ink pad is juicy then try using a plastic spoon and pressing the excess ink into the pad using the back of the spoon before stamping. Old Olive Linen Thread was top of my list too, a great addition to any project.

Having a play with the stamps and DSP was just what I needed and I managed to come up with a few new card ideas. I did use the matching dies too that create some stunning effects and give a very different look to our usual dies.

One of the Framelits and faux stitching created with Stampin Write Markers.
Very Vanilla, Night of Navy and Crumb Cake with a touch of Petal Pink.
Super simple card showing off this lovely DSP.

This suite is going to feature in an upcoming class, and I’m really excited to get to use this as it has so many possibilities.

If you would like to see this bundle its on P38 & 39 of the Spring/Summer Catalogue find it HERE

Thanks for spending time here with me today.
