Each year we are fortunate to get a brand new Annual Catalogue that launches in June. As Stampin Up Demonstrators we hotly anticipate this time and we get an early view of what treats are in store in April generally at an event run by the company. This year is very different as we are in unprecedented times with the Covid-19 outbreak around the planet right now, this means there are no events that can be held due to social distancing measures to keep all of us safe. I have to say I have not missed many events run by Stampin Up during my time as a Demo as they are such amazing, uplifting and fun get togethers. There is always so much love in the room and I can guarantee that at each event I come away inspired and feeling so very fortunate to be part of such a wonderful stamping company. We always get lots of sneak peeks, inspiration and product boards and we are gifted new products from the upcoming catalogue. The company has organised an Online Event to give us all some training and show us some projects and demonstrations and this is another reason that I’m so grateful to be part of this wonderful company that does what it can for us and our businesses at such difficult times. We are able to pre- order this year as always in May to get ready for the customer launch in June. So lots of creativity and new products to share.
The upsides to a catalogue launch are many and is always really exciting, but, there is always a tinge of sadness, as this is the time we get to learn which of our offering is going to be RETIRED to make way for all the lovely new items that will become our new favourites.
As a rule nearly all the Designer Series Paper will disappear and also we know that leaving us in June are our 2018 – 2020 IN-COLOURS. These were such vivid and bright colours and I’m going to miss these colours especially Lovely Lipstick and Blueberry Bushel, I have used these colours so much since they arrived in my craft space. The In-Colours are always the first to sell out so if you wanted any re-inkers or card to go with ink pads you may have already purchased then you will need to be quick.
We will have 5 new colours joining the collection this year that will remain with us until 2022 to join the 2019 – 2021 in-colours and we have had a sneak peek of one of the colours in our new early launch product the Ornate Garden Suite. It is featured in the Designer Series Paper from this new product suite and it’s called Bumble Bee, a lovely warm honey yellow tone. This Suite is a pre-order from the New Annual Catalogue only available until April 30th. After this date you will have to wait until the actual catalogue launch date June 4th 2020.
So this year our launch although much lower key is still as exciting we will all be logging in before 8pm ready to download our PDF version of the new Catty as the clock strikes 8, that’s as long as we don’t break the internet with us all doing this at once – I know I don’t fancy waiting! Then I have to take my very large cuppa and pour over every page while messaging my fellow Demo’s discussing our new faves. It could be a long night, but that’s OK as I’ve anticipated this ‘BUSINESS EVENT’ and given a 24hr I’m out of action announcement to the rest of my household, PHEW!! That’s that sorted then!
