Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow

In order to keep the creativity flowing Stampin’ Up! retire some products at the end of catalogue runs and introduce new colours and products to their offering to replace them. As Demonstrators we tend to become attached to some old favourites, when they retire it can be a bit sad. After a short wallow, (generally when we open our new publication that we get to see a month in advance of you guys) we then become really excited at all the wonderful product that is to come.

I’m feeling this right now it’s mixed emotions, I’m inking up the sets on my shelf that are leaving but haven’t been given the love they should have, before they leave my shelf for good! Of course there are a few sets that I will be unable to part with so they will be transferred to my ‘retired but still need it’ shelf. The retiring In-Colour inks will be on my retired ink section. I tend to keep my old ink pads to use for the crafting I do in the community in care homes and with children. Then I’m not so precious if they get messed up! I also get to reminisce and be nostalgic about what has been before.

Here are a few samples of some of my very favourites that are now on the last chance list. Zany Zebras, Butterfly Gala, Beautiful Friendship, Hight Tide, Ridiculously Awesome and Waterfront.

The retiring In-Colours will be sadly missed by me and many others they were such lovely additions to the Stampin’ Up palette. My favourites were Seaside Spray, Pretty Peacock and Rococo Rose.

I have to say the new incoming In-Colours for 2021 – 2023 are very different but equally gorgeous and I’m super excited to get my hands on them to have a look what colour combos will be my favourites alongside our current range. After all our colour coordination is what makes Stampin’ Up! stand out, along with the quality of all the products and having an amazing community of demonstrators sharing inspiration every day.

There is so much to come and I really am feeling that Spring might be my new favourite season. Brighter weather, lighter evenings, blossom on the trees and lots of gorgeous new products to play with, what more could a girl wish for?

Bye for now
