I need to look back and add up how many we are up to on the Facebook Live videos, they started back at the start of Lockdown here in the UK late March 2020.
I really look forward to going Live at 4pm every Monday at Inkabelle’s Stamping Spot and sharing a project, sometimes with a technique or a tip along the way.
Sometimes things go well and sometimes not so much, but that’s ok as the truth is that when we are in the throws of the creative process sometimes, things go wrong and we might need to add an embellishment to cover that smudge. Keeping it real is very important to me as perfect crafting doesn’t always happen and I rarely bin a project! If I really stuff it up I might pop it to one side and come back to it later with a different eye, and if all else fails then Card & Paper has two sides!
With the announcement of retiring product from the Annual 2021-22, it was a time to look at separating out the carrying over product from the retiring product in my crafty space. I’m using up my retiring paper as quickly as I can and having trimmed down some of my 12″x 12″ patterned paper down to 6″x 6″. The smaller pieces are then cut down to the dimensions following a template from a Stampin’ Up! Demo ‘Kitchen Table Stamper’
The January – June catalogue has some fantastic Bundles and I recently used the great Cactus Cuties Stamps and matching Punch with the cut down Patterned Paper. Using an Embossing Folder to add interest to the background of a card is definitely a favourite for me. Using retiring colours is also something I like to do before they disappear, these vibrant colours of Just Jade and Cinamon Cider will really be missed.
Some Calypso Coral for an extra pop and Gray Granite for the neutral label.
The embossing folders I chose to use fit into the Mini Stamp, Cut & Emboss Machine they are the Stripes & Splatters. I really try to choose items that fit into the mini when I’m on a roll with my crafting as it’s always on the desk and accessible.
My weekly Facebook Live’s have become such a part of my weekly creative routine and they have enabled me to create regularly, when sometimes life events would have prevented me from having some time for me! I’m so very grateful to have an excuse to get my desk messy on a weekly basis. I really urge everyone to carve out some time to do something that makes you feel fulfilled, it is vital to finding balance in this crazy world that we find ourselves living in. I try to connect with others regularly that share this passion I have, after all some peeps just don’t get our excitement over Stamps, Ink & Paper!
I know what’s wrong with them………………
