Project Life

Memory Keeping· New Baby

12 Mar

Now I love the Project life offering from Stampin Up, but a lightbulb went on when I saw the FB live offering from Kylie Bertucci where she  focussed on Project Life and showed how to cover the 6X8 Album with DSP.  Well what a revelation this was,  I am so bad at using up my DSP  – It’s this silly feeling that once I’ve used that it’s gone and I might want it for another project.  Well to cover one of the albums takes 2 -12×12 sheets and you get to look at the gorgeous DSP all the time!!  My kind of project!

So I looked through my vast mountain of DSP. Here it is once I tried using some retired DSP and I have to say I love it!!

From here I decided that this would be an amazing gift giving opportunity.  We have some wonderful friends that have just this last week had a beautiful baby girl, Eliza.  We happen to live a flight away from them as they reside on the beautiful Isle of Man and I really wanted to send a gift that was going to be cherished and loved for years to come so I will be covering one of these beautiful albums and sending these along with it so that the new parents can  record the memories of this first year of Eliza’s life, that will come and go soooooo fast!

Here is how the album looks before the facelift – a bit plain??!!!

I don’t think that a better gift exists than helping a new family start their own history in such a easy way.  I can’t wait until we visit and see what they have done with these, and if as every new parent will attest to, they have not had the time I will sit down with them and help them get started before all those little memories have faded.  After all there will be no shortage of photos of this little lady choose from!!!
