How many times do you see something new, whether it be a handbag, a dress, some shoes, a stamp set?? We all get carried away with the excitement of the new and I have decided that I really need to ink those stamp sets that are sat on my shelf. Some have been there for a very short time some a while longer, but they all need to be shown some love.
My plan is to use my sets alphabetically (as I really struggled to know where to start), and to make at least two projects with each stamp set showing it’s versatility. Of course I will be showcasing new stuff, ink colours, patterned papers, new embellishments and tools, but sometimes, unless we have married a millionaire (and I definitely didn’t!) we need to not get too carried away. This catalogue is here for the year after all! There’s plenty of time………..
Here’s an example of mixing old with new: The designer series paper plays the central role, it’s stunning and has a pearly finish to some of the elements on one side of the double sided 12 x12 sheet. It’s also seriously thicker than paper. It’s called ‘Share What You love’ and I’ve ‘fussy cut’ the flowers from another equally stunning sheet. The Rich Razzleberry striped DSP is the reverse of the main panel. The sentiment is from Beautiful Bouquet. The leaves are from the leaf punch. This card is from this month’s card class.
Talking of being on a budget, the July starter kit offer is just what the bargain hunter or new crafter needs. As well as the £130 spend for £99 then choose the 10 full size stamp pad set from one of the 5 colour families for free. These stamp pads cost £7 each so it’s an amazing offer. And it comes to you P&P free. In addition you will have access to free resources and ideas from a demonstrator only website, a free quarterly idea magazine and earn 20% discount on your crafty shopping until December (or longer if you reach the qualifying spend of £275) you are eligible to come to team events and attend Stampin Up events too.
The first of my alphabet challenge stamp sets is Baby Bear.
Come back and see what I did.
