Quick & Easy Christmas Cards

Simple, Stamp & Punch Quick Makes

When making multiples for the Christmas season I love to reach for co-ordinating products that can give that wow, with a small amount of effort. Perfectly Plaid is one of those staple stamp sets with the co-ordinating Pine Tree Punch, with tree images in styles that can layer to form different looks and some lovely sentiments not to mention some very cute pinecones to add an accent.

Stampin’ Up! have a lovely selection of Greens in the colour palette, so the trickiest part for me is choosing which green to use. I decided to perhaps push myself to use some non traditional accent colours, so I went for some Blushing Bride a lovely soft pink. I really love the Granny Apple Green I used for the trees with the neutral Crumb Cake card base.

Though not traditional Christmas colours I really loved this look. So then I took this look up a notch by adding an Embossed Layer and some more Blushing Bride card.

Finally I decided to use this stamp set with a more traditional colour palette. The green I’ve used here is Old Olive. I was unable to move away from the White Embossing on Black for the sentiment, it’s one of my favourite tips. I love how the white on black pops out from the card. The DSP on this card is the recently disappeared Peaceful Prints from the Sale-a-Bration free offers.

Such simple but effective cards using this Punch and Stamp Set – choose the traditional look or for a more modern style with out of the box colours. Which one is more your style?
