Casually Crafting Design Team Blog Hop

The Casually Crafting Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world, that come together to share our passion for creativity with you. The focus is bringing inspiration featuring projects that are easy to recreate while still packing a powerful creative punch. The projects are made with a few products, making them ideally suited to a beginner or casual crafter. From time-to-time, we may also include a project that is stepped-up for the added wow-factor

We will be sharing our ideas on the 3rd Saturday of each month and you can hop around the group and gather loads of inspiration. So grab yourself a cuppa take a look around & enjoy the hop!

The March Theme Is Tic-Tac-Toe

I chose the centre three squares from left to right, SPOTS,HEART and HELLO.

Using a White Thick card base (half of an A4 sheets) cut at 10.5cm and scored at 14.8cm to create a tent fold card. A piece of Grey Granite cut at 10cm x 14.3cm attached to my card base. A piece of Pattern Party patterned paper with small dots in lines cut at 7.5cm x 12cm. Stamp sets were Hello Beautiful and Sweet Conversations both from the Jan – June Mini. The colours used were Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride, Flrty Flamingo and Basic Grey. Some of the stamps were stamped directly onto the 7.5cm x 12cm panel while others were stamped onto scraps of various patterned dotty papers. Using a basic Black Stampin Write Marker I doodle edged the flowers and created the flower centres. The hearts were also stamped onto patterned paper and then coloured in using both Mint Macaron and Flirty Flamingo Stampin Blend Alcohol Markers. The leaves were stamped in Mint Macaron. The scrap pieces that had been stamped were all ‘fussy cut’ out. i made sure to pop the flowers and leaves over the Hearts as they had letters on them I needed to disguise (though I could have used a bit of washi tape to mask the letters!) I played with the pieces until I was satisfied with how they looked and then took a quick photo with my phone. This enabled me to remove them and then glue them down in the correct order following the photo as a guide.

The sentiment was also stamped on patterned paper and I chopped it up and popped it onto scraps of Basic Grey for a framed look.

I loved how the card turned out and decided to make a matching little covered notepad using all the same pieces.

The notepad was 7.5cm wide and 12cm tall, the perfect size to pop in a handbag.

Plenty of fussy cutting on this project, but nothing tricky at all.
