What is a 2 step stamping I hear you ask? These are stamp sets that have images that stamp over each other to get a layered effect. Sometimes it can be an outline image first and then the second step will infill the colour to give a finished coloured look. These sets can be used seperately too so you can stamp the outlined image and then use an alternative colouring tool to fill in the oulined stamp. Equally sometimes if the 2 step stamp set is a floral then you can use the floral infill stamps to create a background that will be a softer image minus the stronger outline.
I really love this style of stamp set as it does give a variety of options and having versatility in a set really appeals to me, and I believe is great for a beginner stamper.
A fun stamp set that fits the brief are the ‘Nothing’s Better Than’ stamps. There is a matching die set that cuts out most of the iconic elements and also a different version of the large words. I don’t have this die set and so I resort to fussy cutting out the elements.
Do you recognise the background here? The stamped background layer was created from my session in my last blog post visit it HERE. I was using the fantastic new stamp set Biggest Wish and I stamped with Misty Moonlight on Misty Moonlight. Crumb Cake and were Misty Moonlight playing the lead role on this card.and an elongated Everyday Label Punch to ground the added elements. Simple but effective.
This image is featured in the Annual Catalogue and the outline cocktail glass . image stamp has created the background. Bright zingy colours here, Pool Party, Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo, Soft Sea Foam and Coastal Cabana.
Again using the background I created in my last post from sentiment stamps with the Ornate Thanks stamp set using Mint Macaron and Smoky Slate Ink. I’ve used Pale Papaya as my card base and brought in a little piece of the Rainbow Glimmer Paper to add a shimmery element.
I know many people that make everything better, but if they aren’t around then Chocolate is the next best thing as far as I’m concerned, that definitely makes my world so much better…….
